Q. Can i order a press review pack for your sound libraries?
A. Yes. If you are a member of the press or a journalist, studio manager, audio director, distributor or PR representative you can contact our team with a request. Each request will be reviewed promptly on a case by case basis. Please get in touch with us using the email address firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q. I have a problem with my download.
A. Each customer is sent a link shortly after making a purchase. The link will remain active for 3 days and 5 downloads. Users are responsible for ensuring a consistent and viable connection before downloading. You can contact our team if you still have problems and request sales support if needed.
Q. Why is there GBP and USD currencies in the E-Store? How is this converted?
A. GBP is our primary currency. To help all customers who may not be familiar with a GBP exchange rate for their currency, we also provide an approximate conversion into USD using a rate of 1.30. This is NOT an up to date exchange rate and is only there to offer a guide for those customers who want to know the cost in USD.
Q. What type of license do i get with my E-Store purchase?
A. License information is included with each purchase in pdf format. Its a standard royalty free single user license. It cannot be transferred and belongs to you only.
Q. Do you offer a multi user license for studios and large scale commercial business?
A. Yes. If you are a company or studio representative and would like more information on our multi-seat licenses then please get in touch with our team using the email address email@example.com. Our team will be able to provide you with the best rates available for multi users.
Q. Who is Output Audio?
A. Output Audio was founded by Nick Dixon (Need For Speed, Call Of Duty, Sunset Overdrive, Homefront: The Revolution). You can read more about Nick here and see his credits here. Output Audio now works with a small team of sound designers, hand picked by Nick throughout his experience working in the entertainment industry.
Q. Do you have a training program for students?
A. Yes, we have a trainee program for exceptional students. Its an exclusive program with a very limited number of places. If you think you might be a good fit for our trainee program then feel free to get in touch. You will need to show the following:
- Exceptional potential in either sound design, audio editing, game audio implementation, music production or audio recording.
- Up to date credentials including references, CV and work examples.
- An awesome showreel or demo
- Ideally your own website with all this stuff online
Q. What type of recording equipment do you use?
A. We use a wide range of equipment depending on the type of recording shoot. You can read more about Nick’s personal set up here. Q. Can you tell me a little bit about your studio process?
A. For post production we use Pro Tools. We also use Soundminer for our metadata encoding process. We have a range of techniques and approaches that are used to create sound design material. Using a mixture of analogue outboard, granular synthesis and other digital processing techniques.
Q. I only want to get updates on sound effects products or music products only. Can i change my mail preferences?
A. Yes you can. If you check the bottom of the email correspondence on our news mail outs, you will see the option to change your settings based on your own interests. We operate 3 news groups (audio post/music production/game design) so you can optimise your email from us and only get updates that you are interested in. Q.
